I just wanted to write a quick shipping guide for Partylite candles and such.

I've noticed a large percent of sellers are charging huge bogus shipping charges for items that typically ship for much less.

Take for instance this... reciently I sold the PartyLite Lattice 3 Wick Candle Holder White RETIRED, because it was so lightweight I chose to offer free shipping.  In searching others I find shipping cost of $8.05.  I shipped mine from Florida to Colorado, cost $5.59, this was shipped via USPS Priority Mail.  The cost for bubble wrap was about 20 cents, and the box was free from the post office.  Because the USPS offers free carrier pick up if you ship at least 1 of your packages out priority...no gas was spent either... I know this isn't a huge difference but it adds up to the buyer, $2.50 is $2.50 especially now.

Here's another example of high cost shipping for Partylite

Again, I sold a Partylite Paris Retro Taper Ball Candle Holder Set of 2, because it was so lightweight I offered free shipping.  I see others offering this same set with shipping cost as high as $9.95 for the dreaded shipping service of "Standard Flat rate Service"..seriously what is that???  My cost of shipping the item was $6.46, this was again USPS Priority Mail...oh and I added in insurance because I didn't want to take a chance, insurance cost was $1.49.  I may have spent about 30 cents on bubble wrap and again used the FREE box from the post office... Shipping cost totaly $7.95.  Thats $2.00 less than the other with no insurance and "Standarded Flat Fee Service" Oh and it was shipped from Florida to Indiana.

Anyway...I guess my point is beware of shipping cost, most of the Partylite items fit in "Flat Rate" Boxes or are less than 1 pound and can be shipped via USPS Priority for $4.75 or just a bit more.

I'm not saying don't buy Partylite on ebay, because you can get some great deals and save a ton off of full retail value....Just beware of what your total cost is.

If you found this guide helpful, please vote so.  I appreciate it.
