As we all know, paypal has a basic account a business account and a premier account.....
I didnt want to have to pay for the priveledge of having my money paid into my paypal account so I opted not to upgrade. I then went up to monthly limit of incoming cash which was £250 and so couldnt accept a payment that I was due to recieve from someone who had won an elephant lamp that I had sold through ebay.
The seller wanted the lamp asap and didnt want to wait until the month was up and my limit was reset and so she told me that she could do a bank transfer to my paypal account.
I had an email from paypal saying that the person had made the transfer and that I needed to accept it, so I did and thought nothing more of it.
THREE MONTHS LATER!!!!!!!
I had an email from paypal stating that in their opinion the transfer could be fraudulent and so they were reversing it and taking the money from my paypal account!
Well I could not believe this! Not only had I already long spent the money but also it had taken THREE MONTHS for paypal to even bother to tell me....
Subsequently my paypal account was emediately put into arrears and a block was put onto my account which meant I couldnt pay for any items through paypal!
In the end I was out of pocket and lost my item as I could never get in touch with the buyer after this so thankyou very much paypal.
BEWARE!
