This has not much to do with ebay sales. But i have been a mechanic for twenty five years.When you take your vehicle to a shop for repairs. Make sure you see what is wrong with your vehicle. Say like your car transmission is slipping and they say you need a new transmission. And all they do is fix your leak and change your fluid. Thats why it was slipping fluid got to low. So they charged you $1500.00 for a rebuilt transmission and it just cost them 30 bucks. when you have your brakes checked most places do it for free. Make sure you take your hubby or someone that knows vehicles. And see the parts that are wore out and tell them you want all the old parts or you probably will be charged for things you did not receive. I specialize and ASE certified in Brakes, Suspensions, engines, havc, So dont let someone say you need a 400.00 fuel pump when sometimes your gage is wrong and they add a gallon of gas. And what do you know it runs. But you paid around 600.00 dollars for a gallon of gas and a used fuel gage. GO figure.That was one high gallon of gas. See Iv seen all this done before i have worked at shady places like this. That is why im writing this. I have seen mechanics put on 25 cent emc fuse in a vehicle that they told customer that it needed a new computer in reality it needed a fuse that made computer in the vehicle work. How about that $2,000 dollar bill for a 25 cent fuse. I have plenty more how about that customer that spends $75 dollars for a tow bill because your car dies and won't turn over or the engine won't turn for yall northern folks. and your car sits in a shop parking lot for all day.Because they know you can't leave your car is broke.So they keep pulling in their regular customers ahead of you because they can drive off. And you have no vehicle to drive. So you rent one. So happens this shop owner also has a car rental business. It cost deposit plus rental and tow bill. Now finally they get in your car and push it in the shop. You are not there your at walmart or at the mall. The mechanic checks out the car. Hes kinda new so he puts in a battery. He cranks the car. It runs like a new one. So he shuts the hood and starts to back it out of the shop. So guess what the alternator light is on. So he calls the parts house to get  a new alternator. Battery and alternator around 400.00 dollars guess what he goes to put on the alternator. The alternator belt were is it IT IS GONE. So this new guy does not want to look stupid. And he works on commission so he puts on a new alternator and a nnew belt. And the car runs like a new one.AGAIN GO FIGURE. In reality all it needed was a $25.00 belt the belt broke the car ran till battery went dead and alternator won;t charge battery without a belt. So all in all car rental towing and all uneeded parts costed around 8 or 9 HUNDRED dollars. For a $25 dollar belt. And also he keeps and takes home that good used alternator. And maybe he might SELL IT IN USED PARTS ON EBAY for around $50.00  That is why i want to warn all consumers of vehicles. But when you work for the other guy what can you say. That is why I have my own shop and have lots of returning customers. I dont hide nothing. I will check out their vehicle in front of them. Give them a set price and if I price wrong ill eat the loss. Because a happy customer will return. And word of moth is worth 100 commercials. In a small town here in Kentucky four or five bad customers can ruin you.
