1. How do I bend brass or aluminum tubing the small tiny stuff with out putting a kink in it? I have a type of metal in my Store that is normally solid at room temp. At 158degrees F it becomes fluid and it will again become solid when it get back down below 158F so I cut little chips off my main block of metal just tiny tiny slivers. That will then let me fill up a brass tube that is only say 1/8th of an inch across the opening. I plug one end with candle wax or a piece of gum or even clay or tape. I can warm up the tube with the flame of a candle so that it melts and will fill up the tube from top to bottom. I then just place it in the refrigerator when It has cooled to 50 degrees F I know it has become solid. Then when I bend it around another item it will not kink because the tube has been filled up with a solid piece of metal. So Now I have a nice curled piece of brass that is filled up with the Cerrosafe low temp metal what do I do now? I simply put that piece of brass tubing in some boiling hot water and guess what it melts the metal. The metal then runs out into the cup of hot water. I let the water cool and it is a solid chunk again ready to be chipped up and put into another piece of tubing or what ever you may have to work with. I know I am already hearing the really smart guys out there saying Well gee batman I can do that with just regular water and let it freeze and bend the tube then when the water melts it will just flow out of the tube.  Gee Robin you can do it with salt and not even have to freeze it or use sand and then shake it out after you take the tape off of both ends. SORRY It does not work that way all the time. especially when there are so man times when you put water or salt or even sand into a really small tube and it will have an air bubble here and there. Then if there is a bubble it will kink at that point. I use the low temp metal for many thing I am sure you have figured out some of them. I will cut a thin piece of plastic to fit at the half way point on an item I wish to cast. I put a dam of clay around the part. I melt the metal to liquid state. then pour it in the damed area to cover the object I wish to make a casting of. OK let the metal set till it cools in the Fridge. flip the whole thing upside down. Remove the Item you wish to cast a replica of. Then use the low temp liquid casting plastic to fill the impression that is left. Melt the metal saving it with the cup of hot water again.  take care dray
