When purchasing DVD's, there needs to be some consideration prior to purchasing them.

First thing to consider is whether you are wanting new or used dvd's. When purchasing new dvd's, check whether are authentic, if they are factory sealed, and whether they are current popular movies or older movies.

If you are buying used dvd's: Ask whether they are playable, if they are scratched and how badly. Also check whether these movies are from a private collection or mixture of store bought and rental movies that were purchased.

On purchasing used or brand new movies, there is some information you need to request from the seller if they don't list cases or artwor to be included with purchase.. Some sellers will remove dvd's from protective cases due to shipping expenses. You will need to ask if the dvd's come with protective original cases and  artwork or are they to be sent in paper sleeves. I would not recommend buying dvd's without cases or protective sleeves unless they will be shipped in a protective cd/dvd wallet or case.

Postage is also an important consideration like I said previously, some sellers will remove cases due to shipping expense. But you always have the option to pay additional postage to receive the dvd's with orginal cases and artwork.

Due to the fact ebay sellers and buyers are worldwide, there are also a couple of items to check about. You need to ask which Zone they can be played in. Some international movies ,such as from Britian , may not play on United States DVD players.

I discovered recently that the way the dvd's are shipped is important. Ask the seller if they are bubble wrapping, placing peanuts, or other protective packing materials with your order. I would highly not recommend purchasing dvd's without protective cases or paper sleeves. Ask if the seller is providing the protective sleeves. You will need to know how the dvd's will be wrapped if you buy a wholesale lot of 25 or more. DVD's can still rub together in protective sleeves if not packed and wrapped properly.

You can never ask too many questions. It is your money and the seller should be open to answer any questions you have. Some sellers will post frequently asked questions with the answer.
