Avoid TheComputerMemoryStore Hynix untested, unmarked 1GB, its bogus.  Avoid buying parts from lady_fixalot because they can arrive defective and she won't refund, and will go so far as to claim her broken part wasn't returned.  Avoid Samaria74, laptop arrived here very well packed but would not boot up to POST, and upon examination it was found to have a broken system board and bogus WiFi card.

Anyone that ships laptop system boards in free USPS Flat Rate boxes should be immediately suspect, like Affordable_Laptop and StarLaptop, two sellers that may have shipped working items, but arrived here broken and inoperative, THEN attempted to avoid peaceful dispute resolution.

I leave accurate, unbiased feedback when possible.  As a tip to Sellers, I was completely ripped off by Neal M Davis, to whom I shipped a fantastic IBM ThinkPad, and received back an uninsured hulk.  Its possible that the laptop was damaged by FedEx in shipment, that is why it was insured.  So I filed a claim against the shipment and Neal kept those funds too!

If you are shipping an eBay sales item, to the Buyer or back to the Seller, make absolutely certian that you have Direct Signature Required on DHL, FedEx and UPS shipments.  If you ship USPS, and its insured, all you need is Delivery Confirmation, because the Signature is manditory and an unnecessary extra charge.

You will see this over and over and its because its very true:  If it looks too good to be true, it almost always is!   Cheap memory claimed to be pulled from working systems are not sold with Google Checkout unless they are known to be bad.  Buying laptop parts that are supposed to power up are worth asking the Seller how they define power up -- often they put power to it and if the fan spins, its powered up!   Nope, if it doesn't beep or output video somewhere, its not powered up.

You can safely use USPS Flat Rate boxes to ship laptop components IF you nestle them -- yes, use newspaper or fine bubblewrap (not big bubble but small bubble) around the part, stuff snugly into the small box that then fits tightly into the larger box, giving TWO surrounding layers of cardboard, then tape very thoroughly.  (I have yet to receive a broken or defective part when shipped this way.)

If buying or selling, USE PAYPAL.   There is a reason why it costs more than BidPay or the other payment methods, the protection from the unethical eBay member is worth the added fee.
