  I have recently attempted to bid on a sedan on ebay motors and people have been contacting me through email to wire transfer or electronically transfer down payments away from the ebay forum.

Be very careful when dealing with large scale items and be sure to take into account the amount of feedback each memeber has! Also never agree to foriegn country wire transfer. All in all just use common sense.
