Heres the point of my guide. Autographed photos. How to tell if they are real or not. In the world today, it is proven that over 80% of ALL autographed items are forgeries. When buying from a dealer or individual check out their character more than you would what they are offering.

I noticed in Ebay, you see if they have a ME page. Do they have anything that offers proof there that can help with their knowledge of some of the autographs they offer?

Then there is the feedback. Listen and read VERY carefully what their buyers are saying. Are they content? Sure, its not uncommon for a few to complain, but most buyers should be very excited about what they recieved.

Compare their pictures to others on Ebay. Does it appear to be a quality photo? Ask about their photo if you are not sure. It is an industry standard to have autographed photos on the standard minimum of 50lb. photo paper. Ask also what brand of photo paper. That will be a dead giveaway if it is real or fake. Everybody knows authentic photos are NOT printed on any other paper other than Kodak typically.

It is always the simple things that seem be the big things when collecting autographs. We have done it some time now and its alot of enjoyment for us, just for the fact of some of the emails we get telling us how their childs face lit up getting the photo.
