A few tips before deciding to bid on J.Lindeberg clothing on eBay:

• Stay away from JL items sold from Thailand (they will try to claim that their items look different because they are manufactured for the Asian market - JL doesn't do this) Recently however, there have been items sold from the UK, Canada and the US that are not authentic. For example, board shorts and swim trunks sold from the UK - JL has never made these.

• Remember that fake JL merchandise is not limited to shirts. Look for fake belts, sweatshirts, golf shirts, pants, hats, etc.

• Check the J.Lindeberg official website and compare photos if the item is claiming to be from the current line.

• With the exception of the 21st Century Future Sports line, all J.Lindeberg items come with either a black, red, or white retail tag. This tag is rectangular and opens at the top. The front flap will read J.LINDEBERG STOCKHOLM. The inside flap will have a sticker with the clothing information, bar code, and JL logo at the bottom. The backside of the tag will have J.LINDEBERG COM. For shirts sweatshirts and pants, this tag is generally attached to the item via a string with a pin and NEVER with just a plastic fastener.

For the 21st Century Future Sports clothing, the tag will be white, rectangular and attached to the article with a black rubber string. Also look for the sticker on the tag with clothing information, bar code, and JL logo.

• The dead give away with fake JL merchandise IS the retail tag. Most of the fake JL clothing will have a small, black, rectangular tag with an awful imitation "JL" logo AND a registered trademark (R) logo in white attached to the article with a plastic fastener. Below is CLEAR example of a fake retail tag, and interior tag. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING JL IF THE TAG LOOKS LIKE THIS.

• The sewn-in label on the inside of the merchandise will NOT have a registered trademark logo (R). It SHOULD say J.LINDEBERG STOCKHOLM.
