Using the two screws (B) provided, attach the top ornamental ring (A) to the backside of the Astrolabe Thermometer backside (C) as shown. Turn screws slowly until ornament is snug- do not over-tighten.
THERMOMETER MOVEMENT CALIBRATION
-
Allow your thermometer movement to stabilize to its environment for at least an hour prior to calibration.
-
Obtain an accurate temperature reading from a reliable thermometer or room thermostat (also stabilized to environment). Rotate the grey cover (A) on the back of the thermometer (fig. 2) in the appropriate direction until the hand points to the desired temperature mark on the thermometer's face.
NOTE: The marks on the outer edge of the movement's grey cover each represent 1.5 degree Fahrenheit adjustment.

-
Use a Philips screwdriver to turn the included screw into the wall hole leaving approximately a 1/4 inch gap between the wall and the backside of the screw head.
-
Position the hanger located on the backside of the thermometer onto the wall screw and move side to side within the teeth until the thermometer hangs level.
TO MOUNT TO AN INTERIOR HOLLOW (DRYWALL) OR MASONARY WALL:
-
Drill a 1/4 inch hole into the wall at the desired location.
-
Tap the included plastic wall anchor into the hole until flush with the wall surface.
-
Use a Philips screwdriver to turn the included screw into the wall anchor leaving approximately a 1/4 inch gap between the wall and the backside of the screw head.
-
Position the hanger located on the backside of the thermometer onto the wall screw and move side to side within the teeth until the clock hangs level.
