The beauty of the lily is well known. The ease of planting and care is now revealed.

They bloom appx. 5 weeks each summer. Are appx. 4-5 feet tall , come in most colors , take about 7 minutes each to plant.

The bulbs are large , soft ball size , should be planted in the spring , appx. 5 inches deep. They should be about a foot apart, given 2 tablespoons of bulb food each at planting   .

Stakiing is a good idea in windy areas , but tie loosly. allow 4 inches to sway with the breeze.

Spring planted bulbs will bloom in July or August the first year  , following years the blooms will arrive in June.

Lilies will multiply each year ; usually at a 50 % rate. 10 lilies year 1 will become 15 year two ; and so on.

Be certain to add two spoons of  bulb food for each at the beginning of the  growth season.

Water your lilies at ground level, this keeps diseases away.Allow the green foliage to fade to brown naturally..The bulb requires the neutrients to continue to produce.
