AS IS VIDEO GAMES OR DISC'S:

I recently made a purchase from an ebayer that had good feedback.The item purchased was an xbox marvel vs capcom 2 disc under the so called as is listing.The disc was won for 44.00 dollars.Which would have been an acceptable price,except for one thing.It seems that some ebayers think that, as is listing's are a great way to sell pure garbage on Ebay.The as is generally means to all prospective buyers on Ebay,that there is a chance the item or items are fixable.The problem with this type of listing is that there is no regulation or consequences thru Ebay to stop this knowingly deceptive practice.Everyone that buys these type of as is listings knows that chipped,cracked,broke and deep gouged or scratched disc's are pure garbage and ,is no chance of fixing whatsoever.Therefore garbage.If you are unsure please ask precise questions and if your answer is vague or doesn;t answer your question to your satisfaction.Then think twice.Take an Ebayer's feedback into consideration also.But ,don't go on feedback alone.Talk to other ebayers,look at sellers history.If feedback is hidden,Then the seller has something to hide and that should be a red flag, So to speak.There should be some kind of regulation in this area at least.A seller knows if these are garbage or not.Don't be fooled by the reasons why a seller says he can't tell if they are fixable or not.We know most cases if they are sold as is.It is because some sellers get huge lots and don't have time to check.But ,That is usually not the case as most sellers get out the best and culls thru the rest to sell as is.The reason is they try to get the most out of their investment.Some times a seller gets some give to them and they really don't know what to look for before they list.That is a very low percentage though.If you can see then you can tell if it is garbage or not.So remember.If unsure ask precise questions,look at feedback and ask other ebayers .Again,Discs with scratches on pic side,gouges ,chips anywhere on disc,cracks or breaks can't in any way be fixed and is garbage!!!!!!!!!!!!BE CAREFULl.,and Good luck.
