Art Squared is a movement that encourages artists to create collectible small editions of artwork in a 4" by 4" size. Artists involved in Art Squared started creating these works because we loved the idea of people buying and collecting affordable pieces of art. However, we were not comfortable with selling the standard artist trading card size of 2.5" by 3.5", because we believe that ATCs were created to be traded, not sold. Being clever, creative artists, we brainstormed and came up with this new and different format---small enough to be affordable and easily collectible, yet large enough to allow a multitude of media and forms of expression. What could be better than that?
