I have been using Motorola V3xx for the last 2 years and on early February of this year, I decided to upgrade my phone. Now, I own an Apple iPhone 3G, black, 8G and so far it has served it's purpose. The main reason why I bought this phone is because of popularity. Before you purchase an iPhone, you have to remember you can't base your purchase entirely because of it's undeniably irresistible beauty! You have to make sure you can afford it as it can be costly to own one. So, if you have your budget in line - Let's proceed to the awesome aspects of this cool phone. So basically, iPhone is the phone of the century! It is a cellphone, a camera, and internet access in one. It's fun and very useful at the same it.

8GB vs 16GB
Gigabyte (GB) is a measure of computer data storage capacity. One gigabyte is equal to 1,024 megabytes. Base on the number 8GB & 16GB, it obviously shows the difference in storage. For a 16GB, it will cost you around $299 and the 8GB for $199. Question is, how much storage do you need? 8G is perfect for those who only need to use the basic applications. If you use your iPhone iPod, it can hold a lot of music, maybe couple thousand (2,500 at the most of course, depending on the length of the music and if it's only music you hold ~ adding movies would decrease it. An iPhone 16GB can hold twice as much (up to 5,000 songs).
Battery
Now this is a big issue in iPhone. The battery life is short. It is not removable, therefore, you cannot replace it as easily as a regular phone. The iPhone has a built-in battery offering five hours of video, web browsing, talk time and up to 16 hours of music playing. Truth be told, battery runs out eventually which needed to be replaced. Luckily, Apple offers battery-replacement program if/ when it all comes down to that. iPhone uses a lithium-ion batteries which lasts longer if used properly. Be sure to check out these easy steps to maximize the life of your iPhone battery in Apple website.
Fun & Business Minded
Since purchasing this iPhone, I discovered that it is built for fun & small business. I love the fact that I can reply to my customers when away from my PC, I can browse pricing on eBay for the items I am going to purchase and with a map to guide me where to go. iPhone has it's design cut out for me. I can Chat with my friends using my favorite Yahoo & Google messenger anytime, games and music videos, taking photos, notes, listening to music, eBaying and emailing. What's not to love?
3G Network Capabilites
Through a built-in Wifi it lets you go on the internet with AT&T Edge network. It is equipped with apples' advanced web browser, safari with Google and Yahoo Search engine.
Apps & iTunes
You can sync your iPhone to transfer photos, download music, movies, ringtones and more through iTunes. The ever-growing iPhone Apps is available for purchase through Apple website & purchase music through iTunes - You can easily do both in your iPhone.
Here are the basic apps that come with upon purchasing the iPhone:
Do I need to purchase the data plan?
Yes. Ultimately, if you do decide to get an iPhone, that's extra $30/month for unlimited data plan (that's not including text messaging charges). Purchasing it directly from ATT means you have to have a data plan, period. For me, there's no point in purchasing iPhone if you don't get the data plan. That's the whole point of an iPhone. But if you go the other way, you can purchase an unlock iPhone and use internet using wifi in hotspot or if you have wifi router at home. If you decide to purchase an iPhone through ATT, I strongly advise NOT to unlock it. To update your firmwire through apple only. Update your firmwire to 2.2.1 : This is the latest firmwire apple has released. It is said to improve general stability of safari, fixed issues where some images save from mails do not display correctly in the camera roll.
All in all, this is the perfect phone for me. The only APP that's missing is video recording. Other than this, I have everything I need in a touch of a finger.
