1. Save and Unzip the plug-in.
Generation 5 devices (405, 605wifi, 705wifi, TV+)
Generation 6 devices (Archos 5 and 7 Internet Media tablets)
Save the attached zip file (type ".zip") to a convenient place on your computer, such as the desktop, and un-zip it. This will give you 2 folder with the plug-in inside of it. One contains this installation guide, another have the plug-in file (type ".aos") inside.Move the plug-in file (type ".aos") to a convenient place on your PC, such as the desktop.
Generation 4 devices (404, 404cam, 504, 604, 604wifi, 704wifi, 704TV)
Save the attached zip file (type ".zip") to a convenient place on your computer, such as the desktop, and un-zip it. This will give you a folder with the plug-in inside of it. Keep this folder and plug-in just in case you need to re-install it at a later date. If you bought more than one plug-in, don't rename the *.aas file, you will have to install one after the other, not both at the same time.
2. Connect your Archos device to your computer
Using the ARCHOS USB cable, plug your Archos device into your computer and connect in PC Hard Drive Mode.
(menu->settings->system - USB preference: PC Hard drive.)
Double click to open the Archos Hard drive.(Your Computer sees the Archos device as if it were an external storage device).
3. Copy/Paste the plug-in file to your Archos storage device.
Right-click on the "*.aos" or “*.aas” file you saved on desktop and select Copy. Double-click on the Archos device and you will see all the folders in your Archos. Right-click in blank area (but not on a folder!) and select paste to copy the “*.aos” or “*.aas” file into your Archos. Please make sure the plug-ins file is on the top level folder, so called the root level of your Archos hard drive.
4. Activate the plug-in
Safely disconnect your Archos device from the computer by using the green disconnect arrow icon in the system tray. Once unplugged, your Archos will recognize the plug-in if it was copied to the root of your Archos device. The Archos will prompt to re-plug in the USB cable (power cable of 705) to power the device during the update. Your Archos device will automatically start the update.The update will take about one minute. Do not unplug the USB cable powering the device during the update as this could potentially render your device unusable.
NOTE: If it does not automatically start, please find out the Plug-in File" .aos" from the file browser on your archos and double clicking the file.
5. After installation
1.Press 'Menu' and select the Settings option.
2.On the Firmware and Plug-ins screen, you can find all the plug-ins installed.
