******* PLEASE IF YOU ONLY READ ONE PART OF THIS GUIDE, READ THE BOLD SECTION BELOW ON THE POCKETS*******

******* IF THE 2 FRONT LAMINATED CHEST POCKETS ARE NOT RIGHT NEXT TO THE MAIN ZIPPER, IT IS A FAKE!!! *******

*******SO FAR NONE OF THE LISTINGS FOR THE COUNTERFEIT FAKES HAVE THE FRONT CHEST POCKETS RIGHT!!!!******

*******The Fakes have 2 hand pockets and a small chest pocket, and the Fakes that are using the Beta AR pictures only have 2 hand pockets not high chest pockets.********

Arc'teryx Alpha SV Jacket, here is the skinny on what a real one looks like and it's features.

1. Here are the pictures from the Arc web site in all of the colors they come in, some of the features to note on these pictures are the Storm hood (no collar) (none of the FAKES have this feature right)
and the 2 front laminated high chest pockets, theses are not hand pockets, there are pleats closer to the sides where you would think Arc would put hand pockets but they are only pleats and not pockets.

2. Arc'teryx Alpha SV jacket comes in Titanium, Black, Miro Blue and Candy Apple Red. Period there are no other colors listed on the Official Web Site!

If the Arc'teryx Alpha SV you are thinking about bidding on does not look exactly like the ones listed here it is a Fake, Counterfeit P.O.S.

3. Here is a picture of the heat transfer tag and laminated high strength hanger loop, notice the same laminated material as the quick dry chin guard. My Proshell Alpha SV from mid 2008 is MADE IN CANADA not China, I believe they are still making the Alpha SV in Canada, since it's there flagship model and retails for $600.

4. Here is a picture of the sleeve pocket and laminated zipper, notice the Gore-tex Pro Shell embossed insignia below the pocket

5. Here is a picture of one of the two internal laminated pockets, this one shows the Alpha SV heat transfer label on it, the other pocket does not have this but it is red also.

6. Here is a picture of the Gore-tex tag from inside one of the front high hand pockets, there is also a washing care tag and a inspection tag, also shown is the real Arc sales tag and the Gore-Tex Pro Shell tag.

7. Here is a picture of my Alpha SV laying flat to show the size of the sleeves with there No-lift gusseted underarms and articulated elbows (pre bent) the sleeves are really big to accommodate raising your hands above your head while climbing.

8. Here is a list of features from the web site. Helmet compatible Storm Hood, Laminated quick dry chin guard, Laminated die-cut Velcro cuffs with elastic, One hand pull cords, No-lift gusseted underarms, Two-way laminated pit zippers, Water Tight Vislon front zipper(YKK zippers on all zippers), Water Tight pit and pocket zipper, Moulded Zipper Garages, Laminated waist and hem drawcord, Removable harness HemLock, (small roll of foam in the hem)

9. The Arc'teryx Alpha SV is made of 480N Gore-Tex 3L Pro period.

*******************************************************************************

I believe that knowledge is our only defense against the scourge of Counterfeit Arc'teryx Alpha SV. I have reported so many of the ads numerous times and nothing has happened. I contacted Arc'teryx about all the counterfeits on E-Bay and here is there response

We do have a small group that on their spare time looks and shuts down counterfeit claims on E-Bay and other sites.
We thank you for your cooperation but E-Bay is not interested in anyone other than someone representing the company that is being counterfeited for purposes of protection from being sued.
We will look into and are looking into these E-Bay sites and thank you again for your help.

If the Arc'teryx Alpha SV listing you are thinking about bidding on looks at all different then the pictures above, it is a FAKE. PERIOD, any multiple size of s-xxl it is a Fake, any multiple colors available (one of the listing has the following colors available, Black, Huang, Green, Ash and Red) (Huang? you have to be kidding) these are Fakes.

I love this part of the description in the Counterfeit listing, the seller Claims that these are 100% Guaranteed Authentic, with Full Warranty and purchased from Authorized Dealer, of course these are right after the description of all the sizes available S, M, L, XL, XXL,  it's just Lie, Lie, Lie after Lie.

Just look at the pockets on the Fakes, none of the Fakes have the pockets in the right place, none of the pictures show the 2 high hand pockets, not one of the Fakes has this right... Which means they are all Fakes, right now there are over 200 Fake Alpha SV listed, hard to believe.

There are now ads for a Arc'teryx 2in1 softshell on E-bay and since Arc does not make a 2in1 softshell it's a Fake, the picture in this ad is that of a Theta AR ( the theta is a hard shell). There are also new ads for Arc'teryx Alpha SV in a multitude of colors, all Fake, the picture is of the Beta AR jacket. There is no such thing as a 2 or 3 tone Alpha SV. I have to give these Crooks credit, they are inventive but they are still Crooks trying to pass off a $10 to $20 dollar jacket as a $600 dollar Arc'teryx Alpha SV.

Arm yourself with knowledge and don't get ripped off. Odds are these Sellers will be long gone before you even get a chance to start the process to get your money back from E-bay or Pay pal. If you already have been burned fight back with feedback and demand satisfaction from E-bay and Pay Pal and hope for the best but getting your money will be a true miricle.
