Arbonne's line of products are pH correct, are water/botanically based, there's no mineral oil, no artificial colors or fragrances, and it's safe to use on even the most sensitive of skin. Arbonne doesn't test on animals, they don't use any animal parts or by-product (store-brand mascara is made from bat droppings), and they use Nanosphere Technology. This is where it takes the product and passes it to the places that are needed the most. Most store bought skin/body care products are mineral-based and just sit on the skin. Arbonne sinks right in and actually does good things for your body (even your internal organs).
Switzerland has the most strict standards when it comes to health and beauty, including skin care. That's why Arbonne's products are forumlated there. The U.S. hardly has standards at all when it comes to health (but that's another story).
I've seen a demonstration where someone had two clear bowls. One bowl was filled with Johnson's baby oil, the other with water. They put a cracker in each bowl and let them sit for about 15 minutes. Once the 15 minutes passed, she showed us that the cracker sitting in the water had gotten all soggy and was falling apart. That meant that the water penetrated through it, which was the good thing. On the other hand, the cracker sitting in the Johnson's baby oil was still crisp, meaning that nothing was able to pass through it. (Which is why Johnson's bath products are horrible for children. Again, that's another story....)
This isn't just about Arbonne's products. It's about what's healthy for your body. Mineral oil......BAD. Water, good. As long as you can find a product that has water as its base, and the company's honest about what is in every single product they sell, you're golden.
