Here is what you will be using to iron a design on a t shirt or sweatshirt.A regular household iron, 2 cover sheets, the design and a blank(white) mousepad. The blank white mousepad is a hard flat heat resistant surface that should be used when pressing a design on a garment.  It must be used white(blank) side up.

The 1st thing you want to do is center your design. Sooo..fold the design in half, align the outside edges and fingerpress a crease in the top center of the design. That crease is the center of your design

To find the center of the shirt. Fold the shirt in half and align the shoulder seams. Then  fingerpress the center of the shirt and I like to put a piece of the heat resistant mylar paper to mark the center some use a straight pin to mark the center of the shirt.

Remove the white backing from the design and discard the white backing..

Lay the shirt on top of the mousepad.Align the center of the design with the center of the shirt. These are the fingerpressd creases on the shirt and on the design.

Insert a cover sheet inside the shirt underneath the design and place the other cover sheet on top of the design.

The picture below shows:

Press the design in sections for 20 seconds for each section.DO NOT USE STEAM, DO NOT MOVE THE IRON BACK AND FORTH. This is an overlapping  place and press  for each section. Just keep in mind that the steam holes are cold spots and steam holes do not conduct heat.  Try to use the solid center plate of the iron( and overlap each section . The more you do this the better you will get.  When finished let it cool .

The picture below shows:

Turn the shirt over.Place the  cover sheet on and press the back of the shirt in sections for 7 to 10 seconds per section. This draws the glue through the fibers(that is why I had you place the other cover sheet inside the shirt) to keep the glue from getting on the back of the shirt.

When finished  let it cool completely and turn the shirt over.

Run the iron on the top edge for 1 to 2 seconds just to loosen the mylar paper for an easy release

Then gently remove the mylar paper.

.

Picture below.I always like to repress the design again for 20 seconds by sections. When done,  let it cool and remove the cover sheet from inside the shirt.

It is done.
