Apple Sony Battery Powerbook Recall - Apple iBook Battery Recall Information

If you've been paying attention to the news over the last couple of weeks you should have heard about the battery recall that Sony has instituted after several laptop computer with sony manufactured batteries have been recalled. At first it was thought the problem was isolated to Dell but After an IBM ThinkPad T43 caught fire at Los Angeles International Airport, the company started an investigation that led to the latest recall of Sony leading other companies to do the same.

The list below includes all potentially affected Apple Laptop Models:

The affected batteries were sold worldwide from October 2003 through August 2006 for use with the following notebook computers:

12-inch iBook G4

12-inch PowerBook G4

15-inch PowerBook G4.
