Edwardian jewelry has a more formal appearance. This jewelry displays delicate intricately designed lace-like patterns fabricated in platinum and set with diamonds and pearls.

     Platinum started being used on gold, if a piece was made in all platinum; it was from the very end of the Victorian era or most likely from the Edwardian. Platinum over gold was used instead of silver over gold as in the Georgian period. Again white gold was not developed till 1912, almost the end of this period.
