Anti Aging & Skin Care Tips
The fact of the matter is that we all age, but we can age gracefully. Last we checked there is no "fountain of youth" though there are products available to help us Look our Best.
Many products can help you restore your skin to its natural radiance. Here are some other simple things you can do to make sure your skin always looks its best.Wear sunscreen:Wear at least SPF 15 sunscreen every day, and minimize your exposure to the sun. Remember to choose a formula that will protect against both kinds of harmful rays - UVA and UVB. Ingredients like zinc oxide, parsol 1789 (also known as avobenzone), and titanium dioxide provide good protection.
Cleanse, tone, and moisturize: There's a reason that this is the skin care routine we've all had drummed into our heads - it works.
Exfoliate: Exfoliate once a week to remove dead skin cells and make skin feel refreshed. Use a gentle scrub with smooth, not jagged, particles and apply with fingers using circular movements. Don't forget the back of the hands.
Get exercise: 30 minutes of any aerobic exercise (dancing, running, even walking fast) will give your skin a wonderful glow. The increased blood flow brings more nutrients to the skin. But try to shower as soon as possible after exercising to avoid a buildup of oil and sweat, which can clog pores.
Drink more water:Drinking water keeps you hydrated, which helps skin look and feel better. Drink 6 to 8 eight-ounce glasses during the day - always keep a bottle with you to get in the habit. Remember, caffeinated beverages like coffee and soda are dehydrating, so drink more water to make up for them.
Eat right:Eat at least five servings of fruits and vegetables every day to ensure you get vitamins and other essential nutrients. The antioxidants - vitamins A, C, and E - in fruits and vegetables can help reduce sun damage, and they are also believed to fight certain cancers.
Remove makeup:We all do it once in a while, but no matter how tired you are, don't go to bed without first removing making with a mild soap-free cleanser. Foundation and powder left on overnight can clog pores and lead to breakouts.
Get plenty of sleep:To avoid sleep deprivation, you should be getting eight to nine hours of sleep a night. If you consistently get less sleep than that, your skin will suffer; it won't look fresh and vibrant and you'll get under-eye circles. Try to budget enough time to get the sleep you need and keep late nights to a minimum on school nights.
