Another email Scam
Usually well-written and very heart breaking this email scam is supposedly one of the biggest in the history of email scams.
The email is from somebody from a third world country who claims to have inherited millions of dollars. This person needs help transferring the money out of the country because he and his father (grandfather, wife, kids, etc…) have just barely escaped with their lives and have no way to get the money out of their account without your help.
All you need to do in order to receive 25% of $24,000,000 is send this person your bank account info. They say that they will transfer the money to your account and then have you re-transfer the money (minus your cut) to their newly opened bank account.
These scammers have been preying on unsuspecting victims for 10 years and I finally received my first email from them last week. Although it seems legit (to some people) never give out your bank account info to somebody over email or over the phone, unless you’re 100% sure it’s authentic.
