Must have old school anime titles. These are some of the best titles from the early days of anime (at least in the USA). There were alot of great titles back in the day that most new fans of anime have overlooked. Most of the these titles are not appropriate for younger viewers.

Movies: Akira (this was the title to see back in the day), Ghost in the Shell, Ninja Scroll, Vampire Hunter D, Grave of the Fireflies, Appleseed, Dragon Half, RG Veda, Tokyo Babylon.

Series titles: Devil Hunter Yohko, Ranma 1/2, Tenchi Muyo Ryo-ohki, El Hazard the magnificent world, Vampire Princess Miyu, Bubblegum Crisis, Urusei Yatsura, Mermaid's Tear and Scar, Oh My Goddess, The Guyver.
