If you are a postcard collector you will find that storage may become an issue. If you have more than one type of postcard you may want to consider using boxes, boxes used to store photographs will work fine. Other things to consider are the age of the postcards, if they are rare and antique then using archival materials will be a must. Boxes and sleeves for the postcards can be purchased that use archival materials are available at most craft and photography stores.
I store my postcards in photograph boxes and have on each box what type of postcards are stored in each box. For example I have a separate box for my art cards than for my movie cards. The photograph boxes work well because they are sturdy boxes and are the right size for most standard postcards. For my larger postcards I have purchased larger boxes or stored them lengthwise in the box instead of the standard width as you would with a photograph. One final note, be sure your postcards are stored away from heat and areas of water as these conditions can ruin your postcards.
