Living in a highly populated Amish neighborhood, I have had the pleasure of watching my neighbor build his beautiful bent Oak and Cherry Rocking Chairs. As you may know or not know the Amish (at least in this area) are of an old order and have none of our modern convienances such as running water, motor vehicles or electricity as well as many others. When the Amish Craftsman builds his chair it is all hand done with pride and care. The top quality hard wood is hand cut to the precise size needed then steamed to make the wood soft and placed into wooden molds and left to harden and bend to the shape needed. Each chair is put together with copper nails hammered one by one and a fine indoor finish is applied. One chair takes over 9 hours to build and is signed and dated on the bottom by the craftsman. You won't find this quality and or care put into any other rocker that you may find on the market. I'm pleased and proud to sell these fine quality chairs. These chairs seem to be a custom fit for everyone who has bought them.
