Thought I'd give Amazon a try on selling
I sold 1 book for $10.00 on amazon recently. Well the fees they charged me were outlandish.
Amazon took $3.98 from the $10 sale plus I had to ship that book using my own money from a credit card through PayPal for $3.20
So after everything was complete I only got a little over $5 for the sale.
ebay compared to Amazon
................................ Ebay .............................................. Amazon
Listing fee............... $0.15 .............................................. FREE
% fee final fee ........ 15% ............................................... 40%
Ebay I sold a $10 book with ebay and total fees $2.17, I sell the same book with Amazon for $10 and total fees $3.98. I'm not selling with Amazon currently but intend to sell with Amazon Kindle, you have to give everyone a try.
There's really not much of a choice
You either sell with ebay or Amazon, it's that simple. I know there's Half dot com, and other brand online selling but you don't even want to know the charges. Ebay is really the best choice when it comes to online seller choice. My example above shows the difference on fees. Ebay allows seller S&H rights Amazon has set price, that was another great edge ebay has to offer.
