Just an FYI I learned from my friends down at the USPS.

When purchasing items on Ebay and you choose to use a Money Order, ALWAYS use a USPS Money Order!

Deceiving or defrauding someone through the US mail is a Federal Crime, a lot of people forget this. 

My Postmaster told me that so many Ebay scam sellers get away with it since there is not too much Ebay can do, they are not a law enforcement agency, but a private corporation.  But, if you report an Ebay Scam to the Postal Inspectors, they are a law enforcement agency and can take action.

If you use a USPS money order it is a lot easier for them to investigate and take action.

When I use the word "scam" I am talking about clear fraud, not a difference of opinion in the condition of an item.  This would be for scams like sending you a 1990 Wallmart Barbie when you purchased a Vintage original 1950's Barbie.  Or if you purchase a lot of eight vintage dolls and you are only sent 4 (this actually happened to me!).

Honest sellers are not running scams, so they do everything they can to help you conduct a safe transaction on Ebay.  So, do yourself a favor and always use USPS money orders when paying with money orders.
