Gotz Dolls manufactured the Pleasant Company's American Girl dolls for a number of years and then developed their line Precious Day dolls with a blonde, brunette, hispanic and oriental doll. They also produced Maxy Muffin dolls as an alternative to Bitty Baby.

Dolls Unlimited produced Little Sisters and Lil'Punkin (alternative to Bitty Baby. Also originally manufactured by Gotz.

Just Pretend Dolls, also produces Stardust Classics and Friend to Friend and Dream Doll Designer. They are slimmer than American Girl dolls. Also sold under Kid Galaxy.

Magic Attic Dolls. Slimmer than American Girl dolls and have smaller feet.
