A: Diaper cakes are an inedible hand-crafted baby gift. Each ‘cake’ is uniquely prepared upon order. No two ‘cakes’ are exactly alike! Good quality Diaper Cakes are designed using high quality baby diapers as the base of a "cake". These diapers are then coiled or wrapped into beautiful layers filled with baby necessities such as baby powder, baby nail clippers, socks, bibs, booties, onesies, plush toys, and so on. Some Diaper Cakes are wrapped in cellophane wile others are wrapped using tulle. For the most part, the Diaper Cake is topped off with color coordinating ribbons or a large bow and baby accents. Some designers include an ingredient card and/or a gift tag for you to be able to personalize a greeting (or they may even do it for you if they are a full service company).

A: Some designers fasten their Diaper Cakes using a ribbon that has been tied from the base of the cake plate to the top tier. Others have center support. Most designers wrap the Diaper Cake with clear cellophane or tulle (this also helps to keep the tiers together). Lastly, we (at Your Diaper DayZ) wrap our Diaper Cakes with large bubble wrap. After many years of tests with different packing products (including different boxes), we have found that using large bubble wrap with a box that is the exact size of the cake that we are shipping, assures us and our customers that all of our Diaper Cakes will arrive to their destination the way it was designed.
Q: How can I tell if a company or an individual is competent enough to design my Diaper Cake for me?
A: Experience takes the "cake" here! LOL...View their feedback, talk to previous customers or contact the designer(s) yourself. Do not rely on the designers words alone though. If they have made other Diaper Cakes before, they should have a few customers who would be willing to talk to you or they should be able to provide ample feedback for you. Think of it as an interview! Don't hire someone who may not have the experience to provide you with what you are looking for. This is key especially for specialty cakes! Designers that have been around for over a year with excellent feedback and MANY happy customers are the most reliable to deal with.
Q: Is quality all that important?
A: YES! The most important thing to all parents is their baby's safety! The last thing you would want to do is buy a gift that could potentially harm their infant. Buying a quality igift is key when making a purchase for ANY baby! You wouldn't want an item that may have been recalled placed on a Diaper Cake that some designer bought from the Dollar Tree would you? Buying a quality Diaper Cakes with quality items is a must when making your decision on which cake and designer you choose!

A: The easy answer is YES! Each company/individual may differ on what personalizing may mean. Some designers will add a personalized gift card for you, others may add baby’s name to the receiving blankets onesies and bibs. Other designers may design a Diaper Cake adding only the items you have requested to be placed on it. So, yes, you can get it personalized, but the extent of personalization may differ from designer to designer…as well as price!!
Q: Can I purchase a Diaper Cake with my babies theme?
A: For the most part yes! It truly depends on if the designer can ether get the theme from a supplier or if they already have it in stock. Contact the designer to insure they have your theme available.
