This guide was viewed over 900 times and only 13 people voted that it was helpful?!?  I'm just here trying to help you to avoid getting ripped off!!  If you don't find this guide to be in the least bit helpful, then you're just going to waste your hard-earned money on cards that are not real 1/1's.  And to the ones who are voting that this guide isn't helpful, you're one of the sellers that I'm warning people about!!  Shame on you!!

A CARD #'d 001/100 IS NOT A 1/1!!  A CARD #'d 100/100 IS NOT A 1/1!!  QUIT ADVERTISING THESE CARDS AS 1/1's!!  DON'T EVER BUY ANY CARD THAT IS NOT MACHINE STAMPED OR HAND WRITTEN 1/1 FROM THE MANUFACTURER THINKING THAT YOU'RE GETTING A 1/1!!  IT NEVER WAS AND NEVER WILL BE A TRUE HOBBY RECOGNIZED 1/1!!  ANY CARD THAT IS MARKED 1/1 THAT DIDN'T COME FROM THE CARD COMPANY ITSELF IS NOT A TRUE 1/1!!  Nothing burns me more than clicking on a listing advertising a 1/1 serial-numbered sport card and then finding out that it is not a true 1/1.  Folks... a TRUE 1/1 card is stamped or hand written 1/1 BY THE ORIGINAL CARD MANUFACTURER!!  Aftermarket 1/1's ARE NOT true 1/1's and are essentially WORTHLESS!!  Also... DO NOT BE FOOLED by sellers that claim that cards numbered 1/100 (first serial-numbered card in the series), 25/100 (the particular player's jersey number that shares the same number as the serial-number on the card... being that I am a San Francisco Giants fan, I used Barry Bonds' jersey number as an example), or 100/100 (last serial-numbered card in the series) are 1/1's!!  THESE CARDS ARE NOT 1/1's!!!!!  (I still see people list these types of cards as 1/1's!!)  The three previously mentioned serial-number examples may command a premium over cards that are just unsignificantly numbered (ie: 2/100, 97/100, etc...) to the particular player or card.  Stop and think before you pay too much for a card that isn't a TRUE 1/1!!  DID YOU KNOW OR EVEN REALIZE THAT EVERY SERIAL-NUMBERED CARD IS A 1/1!?!  If you had a card that was limited to 50 serial-numbered copies, EACH CARD IN THAT SERIES IS ESSENTIALLY A 1/1!!  There can only be one card for each serial number!!  Take a look at the paper currency that you carry around in your pockets or wallets everyday.  See how each bill has a different serial-number?  Well... wouldn't that basically mean that EVERY PIECE of United States Paper Currency is a essentially a 1/1?!?  Get my point?  Bidders... please don't get duped into thinking that the serial-numbered card that matches the player's jersey number, or the first and last card in the series is a 1/1 because they are not!!  THE ONLY CARDS THAT ARE TRUE 1/1's are the cards that are machine stamped or hand written 1/1 from the factory!!  Sellers... please quit listing cards that are NOT TRUE 1/1's as 1/1's in your item title!!  That could be VERY MISLEADING to the unsuspecting bidder!!  SHAME ON YOU!!  Let's analyze this for a moment... who's smarter?  The con-artist seller who is tricking you into thinking that the card that they are selling to you is a 1/1 (when it really isn't)... OR you, the winning bidder who pays way more than what the card is truly worth beacause you got tricked into thinking that the 1/100 or 100/100 numbered card that you just bought is a 1/1?  Folks... think smart, and don't get tricked into these 1/1 scams!!  And before you all dismiss me as some sort of a joker or clown, let me just say that I've got well over 25 years of experience collecting sports cards from both sides of the counter as a dealer and collector.  I hope my words of wisdom has somehow helped you to avoid falling into these scams and save you from parting with your hard earned money by buying something that isn't what it says that it is.
