In my own search for discounted i.d. BareEscentuals Bare Mineral make-up I found numerous deceptive sellers with wide ranging less than respectable practices. Some sell genuine i.d. Bare Escentuals products and some don't, although they phrase and represent their listings in a manner that requires knowledge of the products to decipher which are genuine and which are imposters!
A short list of the signs to look for:
1. Be sure that you know the weight of the items you are searching for.
I found numerous sellers who will use an i.d. Bare Escentuals photo (usually of the Getting Started Kit, or others) yet include only a small amount of the items - the wights of the items are lessened - sometimes as much as 75%, you MUST know what the ounces of each item are!
2. Using "Bare Minerals" as a search title will return hundreds of imposters who play on the name...be sure that the title shows Bare Escentuals (notice spelling) and the items are packaged in official licensed packages!
3. ALWAYS LOOK for a description to include FS or FULL SIZE, UNOPENED,etc.
4. Be aware that i.d. BareEscentuals, Bare Minerals make-up has a website that often offers sets and kits at a price less expensive than many Ebay sellers list them for! Also check Ulta.com and Sephora for running specials on kits! The sites will also list the contents and their weight, so you can be sure what should be included from Ebay sellers.
5. KABUKI is not exclusive to i.d. Bare Escentuals and many fraudulent sellers use it to attract buyers seeking the KABUKI BRUSH and authentic i.d. Bare Escentuals products.
6. Many selling authentic i.d. Bare Escentuals products are selling pieces from kits they have purchased that they do not use - look to buy the kits yourself and sell what items you don't prefer to use. You can easily sell off a few items and cover the complete cost of your kit!
