Hi, it is me again LAura from A Few Dull Moments. I want to share with you why I think the IKEA Burken Storage Jars are the BEST Canisters I have ever found. That IKEA boes NOT sell MAIL ORDER!

They work. They do what they are suppose to do.They keep the food fresh. Ok not forever but I have tea bags in one that are now almost a year old that is still good. Cookies lasted while we where gone on vacation. Can you say that about your current canisters?

Everytime we got new set in at my past stores I would get all my hopes up. Would these be THE ONES? I was looking for ones that really worked. As soon as we got done unpacking them I would check out the lids and the seals and the way they fit together. Does it seam tight? Will the air leek? Only to be disappointed.

When I saw the Burken Jars and pulled the first lid off I turned to my husband and grinned. The Glass Jar meets the Silicone Rubber seal and does the job. The lids are Aluminum and light weight.

Also the seal is attached to the lid so no worry of losing it.The jar is dishwasher safe. The lid should be washed by hand to prevent damage. I have used a number of household cleaners and kitchen wipes on the lids and they work fine.

The only thing I should warn you is once you start changing over your STUFF to these you think of more and more uses for these wonderful jars.

There are 10 sizes/types avaiable so more than the 3 pictured here. All the ones on IKEAs online cataloge have a shopping cart with a Red line threw it. Which means they are an instore only item. You can not mail order them. That is why I am bringing them to you.
