When considering purchasing an ADAT Remote Meter Bridge, bear in mind that it is only compatible with  Blackface units. The blackface unit has a 9 pin connector on the rear of the unit marked Remote Meter Bridge. The Alesis XT and the XT 20 do not have such a connector and thus cannot accomodate the meter bridge. The remote meter bridge is such a handy accessory.  It's unfortunate that Alesis didn't provide this function and a connection for their later models. Having the meter bridge on the bridge of the recording console is so helpful when the ADAT's are located elsewhere.
