What are airsoft guns?

Most airsoft guns are mainly realistic looking guns that shoot 6mm bbs and some shoot 6mm paintball bbs. Most airsoft guns are usually 1:1 scale in size. Think of airsoft as another form of paintball.

What kind of airsoft guns are there?

To make it simple, there are 3 different kinds. Spring, gas and electric. Spring guns are bascially guns that you must cock everytime to fire a shot. Gas guns use propane gas with silicone oil and you don't have to cock the gun. Electric guns are runned on electricity and they are powered my electricity.

Gas Blow Back, Non-Blow Back, Spring, Hop Up, AEG, LPEG, AEP... What in the world is ALL THIS?!?!?!

Start off with SPRING guns, it is the best way to get introduced to airsoft. They are the cheapest and they are packed with great fun!

Try the gas guns and LPEG guns, these are the guns that you will also find interesting.

I think I am a PRO! What type of airsoft guns should I get now?

Okay, now its time for the AEGs. You will be amazed at these guns, they shoot 330-400 FPS. But beware, if your new to airsoft, AEGs will be pretty difficult to understand!
