I thought I'd wright a little info on a Fun but not well known add on for the Gamecube called the Gameboy Player.

Its a nifty piece of hardware that easily hooks to your gamecube & allows you to play gameboy, gameboy color & gameboy advance games on your gamecube.

This allows you to play most any nintendo gameboy  game on your TV rather than burning batteries & suffering eye strain from playing them on the hand held system.

If you like 2D games like old Mario, Zelda, Shining force, RPGs, Metroid, Castlevania, Tetris...

Then buying a Gamecube "Gameboy Player" (AKA GBP) may be a great investment for you...

There are litteraly 1000s of titles for the gameboy player as mentioned above any Gameboy, gameboy color or gameboy advance game will work. (Sorry nintendo gameboy DS hand held system games DO NOT WORK in the gameboy player)

Many of the gameboy titles are now cheap & easy to get here on eBay!! Just buying a game averages out at $8. for 100s of titles & there are 1000s listed every day under $20 total S&H included.

HERES a FEW FACTS TO KNOW about the GBP.

If you buy a used GBP  BE SURE IT COMES WITH THE GBP DISC. The add on runs an activation Disc that was included with every GBP sold. You must have the disc or the add on will NOT Work!

I stress that fact becouse alot of people have lost or broken thier GBP disc. So if its not mentioned as included or is list as not included, Just buy from another auction.

The GBP disc is almost as expensive as the GBP its self when you try to get it seperately..

The Add on is moderatly priced (used) & is very easy to hook to your nintendo gamecube.

This is not to be confused with the Super Gameboy player (an older version made for the super nintendo)

The gamecube GB player is Black & comes with a disc.

The Super GBP looks like a big SNES cartridge (Grey)

Its as easy to install as poping the expansion lid off the gamecube (its on the bottom of the gamecube system)

Sliding the gameboy player in place (it very obvious how it goes on) Then tighten the 2 built in screws that are on the GBP.

Throw the gameboy player disc into the system (like a game disc) & put a GB cartridge into the GBP .. Your ready to play 8)

Just power up the system & have Fun.

All the games are compatable with the standard gamecube controller.

With games like Zelda "links awakening", Metroid 2 eturn of samus & some great Castlevania games (any of the GB advance titles) 

The gameboy player can supply many hours of fun at a great price!!
