Being a buyer and seller on ebay isn't always easy. When buying always compare the products and check the shipping rates the seller uses.  On a recent buying trip to ebay I was comparing the standard flat rate shipping to actual,  I noticed most ebay stores prefer flat rate to actual.  The actual shipping at one sellers site was $19.97 whereas at a store for the exact same product same distance for shipping was $29.99 and when asked if they do multi-ship discounts the response was 5.00$ off because the product sold so inexpensively.  The product was buy now>$30.00 +$30.00 for second item, and the shipping was $55.00.(I checked the shipping on that product at 15lbs to me from that state it was 12.95)  I thought this through and realized that a great number of buyers would never have done the math>that's $115.00 and I know I could go to a store in town and buy that same product for $45.00 a piece which is 90.00 plus 5.40 tax so $95.40.    Even though the price is more at a store in town, with shipping and insurance etc. I would have lost in this deal but had the seller been reasonable on the shipping using actual shipping charges we both would have made out in the end.  As a seller I only charge actual shipping as a buyer I always try to buy on ebay and only from sellers who charge actual shipping.  Shipping gougers make ebay sellers look bad and run off ebay buyers.  So the next time you find yourself needing a product for sure check ebay first but also check the shipping rates and let that seller know that flat rate charges are not exceptable and they lost a sale because of it.  It does not take that much more time to add a shipping calculator to an ad and it only takes a little more time to find a seller who uses one.  Sellers who gouge buyers on ebay should be avoided and sellers should be forced by ebay to charge actual shipping on the products they sell.  All in all ebay is a great experience for buyers and sellers just use common sense when buying read feedback of a seller and compare prices, 5 minutes of your time could save you $5.00 and that is what ebay is all about.  Good luck shopping and Happy ebaying!
