I have seen a lot of sellers listing items with the gold foil writing or other "flashy" (as VS puts it) items as Bling. There is a difference! So I wanted to write a quick guide to help you determine if an item you are bidding on is truly Victorias Secret Pink "Bling".  It's important for buyers to know what they are purchasing here especially since the demand for Bling items is so great and they sell for much higher than regular VSP sweats.

The Bling items by Victorias Secret Pink are the high-end of the PINK Collection. They are the thicker, higher quality material than the regular version of the same style pants and they ALWAYS have diamantes on them (hence the "bling"....). You can see in the picture below that the dog has the little bling diamante studs.Those are the type of studs you should see on EVERY pair of Bling Sweats or every Bling Hoodie.

You may find them in the lettering, in a logo, in a design; on the leg, on the rear, back, arm, front or various other places. There's many different ways VS has set up the Bling items. Some have lots of Bling, like the limited edition Peace Sign hoodie that you can find on here going for over 100$ and some have a few, like the Bling-y boardshorts. But no matter what - there has never been a pair of Victorias Secret defined PINK Bling sweats that did not have diamantes.

The normal original retail price range for these items is $28.50 (for a T-shirt)-$68.00 (for a hoodie). Although some limited edition items or items with more diamantes are priced higher.

Since this style is so highly sought after on eBay it's become common to see people "mistakenly" label flashy pants (like the ones shown below) as bling. Most sellers know better (esp. if they sell a lot of PINK regularly) and are just trying to get their items more exposure, but some sellers may make the honest mistake and not realize that there are specific items that are considered Bling and you can't just slap that name on any VSP item just because it's shiny. So look into it on your own to determine if it's the real thing.

Although the sweats shown below are a great style, still excellent quality and extremely cute, they are NOT Bling sweats and shouldn't be labeled that way. The original retail price of these sweats here is/was 34.50 and there is not one single diamante on them.  

Always contact the seller before spending a large amount of money on something labeled as VSP Bling where you can't see any diamantes in the pictures. If you want to be sure you're getting real thing, two good questions to ask are:

1. Was this item labeled a "Bling" item by Victorias Secret?

2. Are there any diamantes on it?

If you're still skeptical, ask for pictures of the diamantes. If they answer no to either of those questions or refuse to show pictures it is safe to assume they are not bling.  

Another Question:

3. What is/was the original retail price?

Make sure the answer you are given is not a sale or clearance price. Those prices won't help in determining if it is Bling. The original retail price isn't exactly a deal breaker. Although they rarely start at less than the prices listed below, I have seen it happen - but certainly not much lower (remember - these are original retail values).

Here are tentative guidelines for what the starting prices of Bling items should be:

• Hoodies -   $54.50 and up
• Sweats   -   $42.50 and up
• Tee's      -   $29.50 and up
• Shorts    -   $38.50 and up

Also, I have heard that there are PINK knockoff items out there on eBay. Please look for guides about determining the authenticity of a PINK item. I can usually spot a fake, but that's from years of knowing the product very well. I don't think I could put it into a guide.
