Before you can use your new phone, you will need to activate it by following the easy steps listed below. At Cellphonesavings we guarantee our phones to be ready for activation with the carrier mentioned in the listing. We do check ESNs upon receiving the phones, but there a a number of reasons why a phone will not activate upon receiving the phone. In the unlikely event you have trouble activating your phone you purchased from us, please do not hesitate to contact us - we will gladly help you. Rest assured we at Cellphonesavings stand behind every product we sell.

If you purchased a GSM phone from us(AT&T, T-Mobile, Rogers, Fido, etc.), you need only to take the SIM card out of your old phone and place it into your new phone. It is that easy.

If you purchased a CDMA phone from us(Alltel, Sprint, US Cellular, Verizon, etc.), you will have to activate it by following the 2 easy steps listed here:

Step 1: Take the battery out of your new phone and locate the ESN number, which is on the label under the battery.

Step 2: Once you have the ESN number, call the number that corresponds with your cellular carrier below. A representative will then walk you through the activations process.

Alltel customers call 1-800-255-8351

Sprint customers call 1-888-211-4727

Nextel customers call 1-800-639-6111

US Cellular customers call 1-888-944-9400

Verizon customers call 1-800-922-0204

Cellular South customers call 1-877-276-8841

Cricket customers call 1-800-922-5159

*Please Note* - We do not recommend taking your phone into any wireless store. The sales people in the stores do not get paid to switch your phone number to a new phone and sometimes they see it as wasting their time. They tend you tell you numerous reasons as to why the phone can not be activated so they can get you to purchase a new phone with them, along with a new long term contract, so they can get paid a commission on the sale. They also are only trained on a few cell phones that the store sells and sometimes they might not be familiar enough with your new phone to activate it properly. The best trained people are found when you call in to have your phone activated at the numbers listed above.
