Before you can use your new phone, you will need to activate it by following the easy steps listed below. At Cellphonesavings we guarantee our phones to be ready for activation with the carrier mentioned in the listing. We do check ESNs upon receiving the phones, but there a a number of reasons why a phone will not activate upon receiving the phone. In the unlikely event you have trouble activating your phone you purchased from us, please do not hesitate to contact us - we will gladly help you. If you purchased a GSM phone from us(AT&T, T-Mobile, Rogers, Fido, etc.), you need only to take the SIM card out of your old phone and place it into your new phone. It is that easy.
If you purchased a CDMA phone from us(Alltel, Sprint, US Cellular, Verizon, etc.), you will have to activate it by following the 2 easy steps listed here:
Step 1: Take the battery out of your new phone and locate the ESN number, which is on the label under the battery.

Step 2: Once you have the ESN number, call the number that corresponds with your cellular carrier below. A representative will then walk you through the activations process.

They also are only trained on a few cell phones that the store sells and sometimes they might not be familiar enough with your new phone to activate it properly.
