Rabbits are small mammals found in several parts of the world.
There are seven different genera in the family classified as
rabbits, including the European rabbit, Cottontail rabbit,
and the Amami rabbit.
There are many other species
of rabbits such as the pikas and hares. (Wikipedia, n.d.)

Rabbits are ground dwellers that live in environments ranging
from desert to tropical forest and wetland. Their natural geographic
range encompasses the middle latitudes of the Western Hemisphere.
In the Eastern Hemisphere rabbits are found in Europe, portions of
Central and Southern Africa, the Indian subcontinent, Sumatra,
and Japan.
The European rabbit  has been introduced to many
locations around the world, and all breeds of domestic rabbit
originate from the European. (Wikipedia, n.d.)

stores. On eBay, one can buy from artists WORLDWIDE
without having to leave their home! One such artist
on eBay who is displaying her passion for Realism
Art and Fantasy Art is Ruth Rumney.

Ruth Rumney is noted as an Adirondack artist who has been
depicting nature and fantasy paintings for over fifty years!
Primarily known for her oil canvas and canvas board
paintings that grace collections across the
United States and Europe.

Ruth Rumney has been profiled in ADIRONDACK LIFE and the
subject of an upstate PBS ART EXPRESS documentary. Under her
brush animals, birds, landscapes, by gone eras, and images
such as mermaids
that dwell only in fantasy come alive!

Ruth Rumney was was born in 1922 in Westport, New York on the
shores of Lake Champlain. At the age of eight she discovered
her natural artistic talent. Her only formal training was a few
lessons with a family friend who ran the lighthouse on the lake.

Growing up in the depression, she made due with the only resources
available to her sometimes painting on cans and old wood-to this
day she continues to paint on weathered barnwood--mostly animals
in flowers.
She is primarily known for her canvas oil paintings
of landscapes and fantasy paintings.
In her eighties, she still
paints daily creating new wonders.
