Before I decided to purchase a new acne treatment, I made sure to do my research.  Based on most of the things I read, many people were anti-proactiv and pro-acnexus.  I saw some good reviews of Brunnhaus as well, but it was just way too expensive so I went with acnexus

Anyway, after reading the reviews, I purchased acnexus from ebay.  The product seemed to take more time than expected, but I think it was just my anxiety.

Here is my situation.  I am a 23 year old male with moderate acne.  However, now that I am getting into the workforce, I needed to find a product that might help me avoid embarassing blemishes--hence, acnexus.  Before acnexus, I used a neutrogena daily acne wash and neutrogena acne cream.  Unfortunately, these products did not provide the consistent results I was looking for.

 When I first used the product, I anticipated the sandy texture.  Additionally, I was pleasantly surprised by the nice smell.  I read many reviews that indicated how good your face feels afterward, but I did not experience that at least to an extreme level.  Anyway, I kept using it, once in the morning and once at night, and I did begin to notice results.  My blemishes were clearing.  More evident though is that when it seemed like a new blemish was coming in, Acnexus made quick work of it (unlike the other products that would take a week usually).  It is important to note that I am still using neutrogena benzoyl peroxide cream for blemishes.  I read a review that said this is an acceptable practice and I think it has worked for me thus far.

Couple things to note: Many people said one pump of the bottle will do it; maybe I am wrong, but I feel 2-3 pumps is needed to fully cover your face.  Second, when you spread acnexus on your face, it looks like there is nothing there, but don't worry about that.  Third, as a male with a heavy beard and sensitive skin, I feel that shaving might cause some additional blemishes, so if my review seems negative, please take that into consideration.

Overall, I am happy with the product. I have used it for a couple of weeks and I think I am going to stick with it.  It seems like all treatments work differently for different people.  My thought on this product is that it is a great alternative to what is out there in stores; however, do not expect miracles.
