I am a 32-year old female with mild to moderate adult onset acne. When untreated, my acne consists of tiny pimples that resemble a rash, primarily around the hairline. About 10 years ago when this all started, I went to multiple dermatologists who treated it with harsh topicals that didn't work and overdried my skin. A few years later, I discovered ProActive. The acne cleared up rapidly, but after two years of use ProActive no longer did the trick. I tried AcneFree (ProAcne, I believe it was originally called) and found it worked for me. I used it until a month or so ago when the formula seemed to change (I can't confirm whether it did or not, but I know that the cleanser and lotion were definitely different than before--texture, smell, etc.) Suddenly, AcneFree no longer worked for me. I was in a state of panic when I found Acnexus online. My rashy acne was coming back and I was desparate. Of course, most reviews say it's spectacular, nothing short of a miracle. So I ordered Acnexus online (from eBay) and began using it about five days later. The first few days of use, I noticed my skin was softer, and the rashy acne seemed to be clearing. Then after a week of use, I noticed the rashy acne was returning, quickly and worse than ever before. A few days later, my entire face was covered with the rashy acne AND I had multiple huge zits festering beneath the skin (you know, the big red painful zits). I have NEVER had acne this bad. Even my husband remarked at how horrible my skin was. I let this go on for a few more days to see if it would clear (some acne medications cause a storm of acne before the calm of flawless skin) but not the case. I had to quit using Acnexus and began using AcneFree Severe. My skin is still recovering after nearly a week of using AcneFree Severe, but it is getting better thanks to the combination of benzoyl peroxide and retinol. I would be very hesitant to believe all of the testimonials you read--especially those that are written in the first few days of using the product. It may work for some, but it made my problems even worse!
