Phase 2 HELP YOUR SKIN LOOK ITS BEST: As my skin improved, I switched over to using the Acne Wash and Acne Lotion duo as well as the Bio-Matte moisturizer for night and/or the RE9 body serum to moisturize my face (yes, I meant to say the BODY serum). For some reason, the body serum is very mild and works great on my sensitive skin--both on my body and face. The body serum and the facial serum contain salicylic acid. This may sound a little radical, but it's working great! There is an orange oil fragrance to the body serum as opposed to the RE9 facial serum (which could be a negative for some people.)
Phase 3 DEEP CLEANSE: I also suggest using one of the Arbonne masques once a week -- the Mild Masque, the Therman Fusion Masque or the RE9 Deep Pore Cleanser (but only for 5 of the recommended 15 minutes).
Phase 4 WEARING MAKEUP: This is a scary step for a lot of people. Since we spend so much time fighting acne, why would we want to make it flare up by wearing makeup or coverup? I've found Arbonne's Color Wand and foundation to be light. The bronzing powder is a wonderful alternative to makeup and by using the self-tanner, I've found that my skin looks healthier and I've been able to use less makeup. For me, makeup is a necessity to cover up scars and blemishes for work. I want to make sure I'm using the best makeup available to, hopefully, avoid any extensive breakouts.
Some tips: Be sure to wash your skin during your shower and then apply the lotion while your skin is still damp. Avoid rubbing your skin with a washcloth -- better to use your hands to wash and rinse. For treating acne on your body, I HIGHLY recommend the RE9 body serum. It actually contains salicylic acid and is mild. I use it on my chest and arms for breakouts. Pat your skin dry with a soft towel.
