Low Cost, Quality Weapons Against Acne

Don't Skip The List At The Bottom!!!!

Proactive, Clinique, Sheer Cover, Arbonne, Meaningful Beauty and all the other high priced skin companies don't want you to know. Oprah called Arbonne one of her favorites and their astringent facial cleanser a "lifesaver" well worth the price. ALL of the top name cleansers have one very effective ingredient......witch hazel. That's right, WITCH HAZEL !!! The stuff grandma used on bug bites. Witch Hazel is THE effective MAIN ingredient in ALL THE MAJOR BRAND ASTRINGENTS. Guess what? There is not one clinical study (unless paid for and performed by employees) that shows any astringent performs better than the original, the best and most effective - Witch Hazel. At $1 a bottle, this is the best kept secret in skin care. The multi billion dollar industry doesn't want you to know about this. How about those "facial bars" ? You know, soap. Clinique will charge you $12 for a bar of oatmeal soap. That's another "secret" to facial cleansing that they love to keep to themselves. Buy any oatmeal based bar and along with the witch hazel, you have $50 worth of the "Experts" super cleansers. I've sold Burt's Bees items in the past and am a believer in their products. Don't be fooled by that company. They are a corporation like any other.  I have to mention 3 products. The tomato complextion soap bar, herbal blemish stick and ResQ ointment really work well plus they are much more cost effective than the others. Bar soaps should not be overly drying. Look for oatmeal as an ingredient and avoid perfumes. The blemish stick is an herbal remedy that is best applied from stick to Q-tip to skin. Direct contact with anything will help spread bacteria. ResQ ointment helps fade and heal (fast) red marks. Self confidence is important and praying on peoples fears is no way to make money. Our dermatologist shared one thing that really stuck with us. "Don't blame yourself, Stress and genes are the biggest causes of acne, too many people blame themselves and their diets. Acne is not a reflection of hygiene or poor eating habits. It is STRESS and genetic disposition, with stress being the most difficult because it is a circle. Stress causes acne and acne causes stress."

I'm sharing this information along with one other quick tip, crush generic, plain aspirin (salicylic acid). This is the most used and main ingredient in acne medicine. This is it's purest form, please be careful. If you use this in too large a quantity and leave on, you can leave a mark similar to a mild burn. It is by name and PH an acid. Small amount (one crushed pill) with a little water and rub on your skin. Then rinse completely off. Take a small amount and add just a few drops of water. Mix into a paste. This can be applied with a Q-tip directly to a pimple as any acne cream (not too much or you can cause skin to peel). Don't try to make large quantities because the water will not stay sterile. We mix a little as needed and store in clean container for no more than 4-5 days at a time. Read the label on any expensive cream and you will see SALICYLIC ACID, it's just aspirin so there is no need to pay more than 1-2 dollars for a good supply of  pharmaceutical grade ingredient.

So in closing, the "must haves" are:

1.) Mild, scent free, color free bar soap (oatmeal as an ingredient) that won't over dry skin. Cost 1-3 dollars.

2.) Witch Hazel replaces expensive "Astringents & Toners". Cost 1-2 dollars.

3.) Aspirin replaces those crazy priced creams. Cost 1 dollar.

You can have a set up that these big companies would charge $40- $80 for with $5!!!

Other good ideas:

Aloe containing (again-plain. No perfumes or dyes) or Herbal healing cream for red marks. Look for low cost BenzoPeroxide (this is another big ingredient in expensive creams) No need to pay big dollars. It's the ingredient you are looking for. The NAME DOESN'T MATTER! Hope this helps.
