As you probably know, PayPal is the most accepted payment method on eBay. However, not everyone uses PayPal. So, I will tell you about two other payment processors based on experience.
- The first one is ProPay (propay com). They have four different accounts.
- Basic: $34.95 annual fee, accept MC and Visa. 3.50% + $0.35. $250 limit per transaction - $1,000 monthly limit.
- Premium: $59.95 annual fee, accept MC, Visa, Discover, and Amex. 3.25% + $0.25. Linked Prepaid MasterCard. Ability to process cards via telephone. $500 limit per transaction - $3,000 monthly limit.
- Premium Plus: $119.95 annual fee, accept MC, Visa, Discover, and Amex. 2.99% + $0.30. Linked PrePaid MasterCard. Ability to process cards via telephone. $1,000 limit per transaction - $5,000 monthly limit.
- Platinum: $299.95 annual fee, accept MC, Visa, Discover and Amex. 2.39% + $0.25. Lined PrePaid MasterCard. Ability to process cards via telephone. $3,000 limit per transaction - $15,000 monthly limit.
One down side is you have to email an invoice to request a payment. Customers cannot just pay you without sending one. You can also process cards via telephone, which is helpful. They also have great customer service with Live Chat. Once you process a payment you can either transfer funds to your account or use your PrePaid MasterCard.
- The next one is BidPay (bidpay com) They only allow transactions for auction-based payments. Meaning on to be used with eBay and not your online store. You can put a link in your auction for your customers. Once they submit payment the transaction may be reviewed by BidPay. Then the funds are direct deposited into your account. You can accept MC, Visa, and Amex for 2.5% + $0.50.
*Both mentioned payment options are eBay approved. Please visit the appropriate websites for more information. This is intended as an informational guide only and does not imply any guarantee of accuracy.
