        Who is scamming who?

I have read and seen all the stuff on guitar scams ,but i feel that it starts out with us the buyer. Why do we think we are going to go buy a Gibson Les Paul for $100.00 and $300.00 to ship. Lets get real !!they start off new for $1200.00 and go up from there. See i think we create these scammers; who thrive on our greed for a great deal .our to good to be true attitudes. Dont get me wrong, i dont agree with the scams but i feel we contribute to there place here in ebay.

What to look for in a scam "

When you see a guitar that you know sells for thousands and they are asking hundreds. maybe it should bring a light bulb in your head....Even though we all want it to be true to steal a great deal.

If you see these guitars coming from China,Japan, indonesia maybe its time to investigate.

What can i do before i bid?

Get a serial number from the buyer.

Check it out with Gibson,Fender,Prs ect.. See all real guitars have serial numbers that prove where and when it was made.

There are lots of scams :like Bodies of old guitars but no necks with it , you think you are buying a real les paul or fenderstrat or Prs

Dont get me wrong either ,that alot of Guitars from Japan or china play well , Remember that its your job to research what you are buying .but if we as the buyer took our greed for more or better or even that greed to scam the scam artist out of it i believe this would not be as prevelant in ebay as we see.

The Guitar and What it means to me:

At the end of the day it all comes down to this .what made you want that guitar? Was it the name ? the price? the color? The unbelievable deal? Maybe this is what we look at but remember when bidding on a guitar it all comes down to .what is this guitar going to do for me. I will say this i have bought thousands of guitars real and some copies . Each guitar has its own sound its own soul its own personality. I have had copies of Les Pauls sound better than my original but i knew it was a copy. The diffrence is to know what you are getting into and be ok with it. Remember we are the ones who place that bid if you want to stop those scams stop bidding on them!!!!!

Hope this helps and vote yes if it did
