Note to my Customers: 4/26/2007
A recent conversation with my Jewelry Supplier cleared up something for me that I want to share with you. I misunderstood the process of Rhodium plating. In some of my listings, I had described the Rhodium as being applied over the 24Kt Gold Layering. I now know that is not the case. The Rhodium, like the Gold, is applied over a base of semi-precious metals. That metal is known as Jewelers Brass. The Rhodium is actually much more expensive and rarer than gold.
In April, my cost for Rhodium plated items is going up 15%. Rhodium cost have risen almost 50% this year, and now sells for $6,155 an ounce.
My supplier has been on of the premier fashion jewelry companies in the world for the past 23 years. Together with them, we strive to bring you excellent merchandise, and top of the line customer service.
