I paid $180 to gain access in Doba's large Dropshipping database. Immediately I saw a lot of the stuff was cheap junk, but there was some really nice stuff too. I spent hours looking through items trying to find something that would sell on ebay for more than it cost. Most dissapointedly almost every item was selling for less on ebay than what I would have to pay for it through them!

After searching for many hours I found two items that looked like I might could do well in a Buy It Now auction. Just listing auction style would be suicide, but those buyers who were in a hurry seemed to be paying enough to make a little profit. I did so and the first item I relisted twice with no sales and had cost myself a few dollars in listing fees because it was a high dollar item. The second item sold twice with no problems though so it was evening out. Then the third time I listed it their database showed that there were 23 items left. I sold it, and went to put the order through. The item had been entirely discontinued! Frantic, I searched Google to see if I could just send the customer the same item from a different store. To my shock, several stores were selling the same item for almost $20 less than what I was paying through Doba!

But I was still crazy for this dream of not carrying products and just putting an order through to make a little money so I search and search and find another item I think might do well. I list it, sell it, put my order in. I wait and wait and wait for the tracking numbers from it's shipment. Then suddenly this item is discontinued too even though there was plenty left! I did find an identical item at a Yahoo Store for less than what Doba was charging, only to have problems with the item a few days after my customer receives it. It has been a terrible headache.

And how dumb can I be? I do it again! I was a powerseller at the time and just needed a few more dollars worth of merchandise sold to meet my quota in order to maintain my powerseller status--so I pick out a Doba item again. It sells and pushes my quota just over the edge like I needed it to--yay I thought! I put my order through and wait for my tracking number. And wait some more...Then I check on it-- only to find this item has been discontinued too!!! And what is worse, it cannot be found in any store online in that size-- they are all sold out. So I have the unfortunate task of refunding my customer and giving him the bad news. If it results in a negative I would deserve it.

If you are going to use a dropshipper, take the time to find a real one--not a middleman like Doba who is making most of the profits themselves. Search for Worldwide Brands on Google, click on free learning and scam watch to read why middleman only cost you money.
