The best way to authenticate brandname jeans, that is, for the newer models, is to ask for a high resolution and extreme close-up photo of the inner label. The silver strip on the inner label on brands such as True Religion, Diesel, Rock & Republic, Seven 7 For All Mankind have micro letterings in them. Some are visible through the naked eyes and some needs to be viewed at an angle , close-up with a magnifying glass or camera lens. True Religion would say "System Security" , Diesel "DIESEL", Rock & Republic....I've yet to decipher and Seven for All Mankind " Seven 7  for All Mankind "  just like the way their logo is written.
