AUTHENTIC LOUIS VUITTON STAMPING
I have been studying AUTHENTIC LOUIS VUITTON for over 10 years, and I am wanting to pass on some of my knowledge to you, so you know more about AUTHENTIC LOUIS VUITTON, so you will never get stuck with a fake again!
There are many ins and outs of an authentication process for every bag you are looking at purchasing as they are all different.
I have decided to go ahead and go through the entire process, so make sure to check out my other guides that I have written on AUTHENTIC LOUIS VUITTON, as I am going to write a guide for every section of the authentication process.
I am going to go ahead and start with LOUIS VUITTON'S Stamping.
There is always a stamp of "LOUIS VUITTON PARIS made in France (also Spain, Germany, Italy, U.S.A-These are other countries that LOUIS VUITTON has factories)", somewhere on the bag. It is usually only stamped once on the bag, so if you see two stamps, more than likely it is not authentic.
Also when looking at the stamp on the bag, as when it is a VINTAGE item, it will either say, "LOUIS VUITTON PARIS", or "LOUIS VUITTON MALLETIER", which means it was made in the U.S.A.
When looking at the label, and it says, "made in ****", make sure that the Countries letter is capitalized, unless the item was made prior to 1991, as prior to 1991 labels would read, "LOUIS VUITTON PARIS made in france" (but always make sure to look at the age of the bag, as if doesn't look VINTAGE, then watch out!).
Another great way at looking at the labels, where it says, "LOUIS VUITTON", make sure that the o's are round "O" and not like a "0", also with my expierience, make sure that the two TT's in VUITTON don't touch, most fakes that I have seen, the two TT's touch.
On some sewn in labels on the inside of the bag, have a thing called "backstitching"; some labels have them and some of them don't. There is never an exact place you will see backstitching, but if you see backstitching don't automatically think it is fake, as that might not be the case. (Just wanted to bring up this subject, as a lot of people talk about it).
One main thing to always remember, LOUIS VUITTON, is always about perfection, and would never put out anything less than that. If you see a leather label that is cut messy, embossing isn't perfectly centered, and the stitching is exact, it is more than likely fake. The stitching should all match up. For example: On a square label say that there are 6 stitches going up the side, it should be the same on the other side, etc.
There are also other labels, which are vintage labels, which you will see in many very old vintage items. There were a couple of companies that sold LOUIS VUITTON, as French Company, Saks Fifth Avenue. In the 1970's to the mid 80's, there was a nylon tag, that has an "LV" LOUIS VUITTON PARIS" in the center, and "UNDER SPECIAL LICENSE TO THE FRENCH CO. MANUFACTURED IN THE U.S.A". If the item was made by Saks Fifth Avenue, you will see a label that reads, "SAKS FIFTH AVENUE".
I think that is about it for the Stamping, Labels, and Stitching authentication process. If you feel that you have more additional helpful information please let me know, and I will be more than happy to include more information. Also if you feel any of this information is inaccurate, please let me know, so I can discuss it with some other people that have been studying LOUIS VUITTON longer than I have.
Please make sure to check out my other guides, as I have plenty and will keep adding them. I want to give as much information as I can, so you will never get stuck with another discusting FAKE again!
If you ever have an item that you aren't sure about, and would like me to authenticate it for you, please let mek know and I will be more than happy to do that for you. I wanted to start an authentication service of my own, so I will give your first authentication for free, and after that only $1 per auction authentication.
If you are to have any other questions, problems, or concerns, please let me know and I will help you in any way that I can.
Sincerely,
WORLD OF VUITTON
