THE ARTIFACT IS BEING SOLD AS IS, OR WITH NO REFUND, IS IT SAFE????
No! Any seller who is wanting to do business should offer some type of guarantee. Most will offer a refund for 100% of the bid price, some, will even refund your shipping. If the seller is not willing to back up the item, then there is probably a good reason, you most likely buying a "guarantteed" pc. of junk!
THE PICTURES ARE BLURRY, BUT IT "KIND OF" LOOKS AS IF IT MAY BE GOOD, SHOULD I BID??
Again, NO! Alot of sellers that know they are selling fakes as authentics will purposely take bad pictures. This does not allow you to make a rational judgement on the artifact. The key words here are, "kind of". If those words enter you mind while looking at the pictures and trying to make a decision, then you have started off the entire transaction with doubt, when buying an artifact, you should have no doubt in your mind as to rather or not you believe it to be a good, or a bad, deal. Most respectable sellers will have at least 2 pictures of the artifact, and they will be clear as possible, allowing you, the buyer, to see the item clearly and helping you make a decision you will not regret. Blurry pictures equal a blurry mind. Be clear about what you are looking at, and if the seller will not send you better pictures of the artifact, then you will know for sure that it is most likely, a bad deal. If you notice, most of the sellers that list their auctions with bad pictures, also fall under the , "no guarantee, sold as is, or all sales final", category.
THE SELLER OFFERS A REFUND, BUT IN THE FORM OF A TRADE IN, OR A CREDIT TOWARDS ANY OTHER ITEM HE/SHE IS SELLING.
This type of refund does not fit the artifact trade, you are not buying a shirt that may not fit, or has a whole in it. When a seller offers this type of refund, it is because they stand to lose nothing. Example: If you send back an artifact that you just paid $500 for, and the seller lets you pick out another in trade, you have settled for a replacement "artifake", in the meantime, the seller will now offer a "second chance offer" to the second highest bidder, lets say for $498, he or she takes it. Now, the seller has made $998 off of this artifake, and you are stuck with a replacement peice of junk. It is nothing for the seller to pump out 5 or 6 of these artifakes a day. So you have ended up paying $500 for a modern made artifake worth $20 at best, and the seller has your money still, the bidder that he/she, "second chance offered", to's $498. Now all that is left for the seller to do is, deposit his cash into his account, go home and start pumping out some more artifakes to sell.
IT IS SIMPLE REALLY, IF A SELLER IS NOT SHY ABOUT THEIR UNWILLINGNESS TO WORK WITH YOU, OR TO BACK UP THEIR ARTIFACTS, THEY MIGHT AS WELL HAVE TITLED THE AUCTION YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT BIDDING ON, "FAKE ARTIFACTS LOOKING FOR A SUCKER TO BUY THEM" DONT BE THAT PERSON, IF THE SELLER IS WILLING TO "TALK THE TALK", THEN HE/SHE SHOULD "WALK THE WALK", IF NOT, SKIP IT, GO TO THE NEXT LISTING, AND LOOK FOR ALL THE SIGNS! KEEP IT "REAL"!
